Spring Cleaning Day

On Saturday 2nd April St. Mary's is having its spring clean day. This will be  day when all the church members get together to help clean the church and do minor repairs.

There are lots of jobs to do, which are listed below. Please sign up for a team and help get the church spick and span.

Most of the major work will be done in the morning. If you wish, you can sign up for the afternooners who will be there to finish off any outstanding work, and make sure the church is ready for Sunday.

Please bring any clean equipment you feel you will need. We will have plenty of vacuum cleaners, but gloves, dusters cloths etc would be most welcome.

If you can only come in the afternoon, please join us for Lunch as this is primarily intended to be a social event!

Tea, coffee and juice will be supplied throughout the day.

A team will be working on the shed in the churchyard and hopefully another team on the roof to clear guttering etc.

Obviously there will be a lot of dust so some of the jobs will not be able to be carried out until the high level cleaning is done. Because of this we have a variety of start times.

8am - shed team
9am - set up team, climbers and the very keen
10:30am - general all-hands-to-the-deck team
12:30pm - Lunch
1:30pm - Afternoon team

We don’t expect everyone to stay all day – it’s as much or as little as you can manage – any time spent helping is very welcome.

In order to sign up please contact the church office or Harry to let us know which team you would like to join.
