International Organ Day concert

Saturday 24th April at 7pm
Organ concert by David Slater playing our Hauptwerk Digital Organ

Hauptwerk is state-of-the-art virtual organ able to recreate the sounds of a pipe organ digitally.

The instrument at St. Mary’s is unique having been created by Silver Octopus Studios utilising samples (recordings) from our own pipe organ, expanded and enhanced using samples taken from several pipe organs from the local area. All these samples were combined to create an incredibly flexible instrument, custom-made for our Church.

David Slater will play a variety of pieces this evening to show off the range of sounds the instrument is capable of producing.

We hope you enjoy tonight’s concert. If you would like to make a donation to the church music funds click on the Donate button below.
