The South West Baroque Orchestra

Founded in January 2022, South West Baroque Orchestra is a period instrument orchestra playing Baroque music to a high standard, performing concerts throughout the South West. Members travel far and wide to play together, coming from Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Dorset, Wiltshire, Berkshire, Bristol and Gloucestershire. SWBO has performed at Wells, Exeter and Truro Cathedrals, and at Sherborne Abbey. We gave an evening performance of Handel’s Dixit Dominus with the Collegium Singers at St James’ Church, Taunton, where SWBO played the Telemann Concerto in D for Viola da Gamba (soloist Jacqui Robertson-Wade) in the first half.
